About Us

Babel Company is a modern, constantly growing company which was founded in 1992 in Tripoli, Libya and in a few years’ time became one of the most famous men’s wear companies in the city. 

It is selling a selected range of premium products of footwear and apparel at competitive prices with outstanding customers’ service. ​

The first Babel store opened in March 1992 in the town center of Tripoli, becoming quickly one of the well-known men’s wear shops. 

Then in August 1995 the second Babel shop opened in Imhemd Fkini str., followed by the third shop one year later, Babel Al Andalus. 

 ​Then in 2003 Babel Company took the exclusive distribution of the worldwide known American brands CAT, Hush Puppies, Merrell, Harley Davidson and Sebago for the territory of Libya, which led to a great expansion of the company. 

Three more shops opened during 2006 and 2007, Al-mahari, Al-Seyahia, and 24Dec str. shop. 

 ​A few years later, in 2009 Babel Company took the exclusive distribution of the Italian brand Lotto Sport for Libya, opening two more shops for this brand in the same year, Benashour and Souk Al-Tulata Lotto shop.

 ​In 2010 Babel introduced another brand to the Libyan market, named LTB jeans and opened the first two mono-brand shops of the brand in Al-Dahra area and Souk Al-Tulata center as the exclusive distributor for Libya. 

 ​In 2011 another agreement has been signed between the Babel Company and the Italian Company Diadora Sport to authorize Babel as the exclusive distributor for Libya. Two more shops opened in February 2012.
